An unintended pregnancy is already a stressful time. CFS has counselors available that will discuss with you your situation and the options you are considering, and will help you come to your own decision about what is right for you and your child. A counselor will help you assess many aspects of how adoption may affect you and your child, and help you design an adoption plan that meets your needs and the best interests of the child. For a short time, you may place your child in the care of one of our licensed foster families, while you work out difficulties or make further decisions regarding the child's future. A counselor will help you work through goals to either reunite you with your child as soon as possible, or help the child unite with a new permanent family.
